Film Production:
This information about genres and the statistics behind tells me about film production that the genres of films which do better in the UK box office tend to get released in the UK and made more because they are statistically better and gain profit for everyone involved in the making of the film.
Film Audiences:
This tells me about film audiences that the audience is quite young mainly because the highest ranking film is animation which is normally targeted for younger kids and as that that was doing the best in the box office in 2013-14, this can tell us a lot about the audiences and particularly who actually goes more to the cinema. .

(In order from most to least) One Direction: This Is Us, Wreck-It-Ralph and Despicable Me 2. This tells us that this age group generally likes animated films due to Wreck-It-Ralph and Despicable Me 2 both beings animations. However, the One Direction: This Is Us film is categorised as a documentary but can be argued that this genre and particularly this film only did well in this age group is due to the fact that it features One Direction themselves.
8. The three films most popular with the 35-44 age group were Frozen, The Croods and Jack & The Giant Slayer. Why might this be and how does this contribute to animation being the most successful genre at the box office?
This tells us that these films were the most successful in this age group because this age group tends to have young children which may want to see these kind of films which makes the statistics for the age group for animation films to rise.

The most popular film in London was Django Unchained and Sunshine on Leith in Scotland. These films are both from completely different genres which can only tell us that the audiences in London tend to prefer more action-packed films whereas audiences in Scotland prefer more comedic films which can or cannot involve musicals - as Sunshine on Leith does.
