MEN SEEKING WOMEN
In the title sequence, animation is used as an opening sequence, this here could suggest that it is a film before a film and it could imply a hint to the actual film. The animation used also gives a child-like look and feeling to the audience. The lighting used in the title sequence is quite bright and gives a cheerful emotion to the audience even though it is only two colours ( black and white ) but with the imagery it seems like a fun piece to watch. For example with the flowers and funny looking animation characters. The title credits are shown in a fast pase as it firstly is presented with the main character and it continues with the other characters, leading on with that the creater of the film is shown. Towards the end the name of the name is put on the screen with a heart opening it up. This could be a symbol for the film. The title sequence uses music that has an up beat to it,known as a score however also still uses sound effects while there is pauses in the sequence, such as screaming or human noises. The font used in the sequence has a funky edge to it as the letters have a different shape and look to it and the size of the text is medium which allows the rest of the background to be seen easily.
SKYFALL
In this title sequence, we as a audience see moving images and main character in the opening. The sequence is a film before a film as it has its own story behind it. The opening is suspending disbelief as we know that the character ' James bond ' is actually not real but we want to believe that is real character. The lighting in the film is quite dark and blurry which reflects the mood of the film and the atmosphere. The mise-en-scene (setting) of the sequence is firstly in the sea with the main character drowning in it, then we see the character in different settings, where he's in between walls and mirrors. The props used in the sequence create a dangerous theme to the film as there is guns, sharp objects, we as the audience also see blood, fire and scary creatures which illustrates the genre which is action. The camera angles differ in the sequence as there are close up angles with James Bond eye and there are low angles where the character is drowning. We also see medium close ups with
the gun scenes. During the sequence there is a music playing by adele, the music has the name of the film to it as well which makes the song more effective. The music has a slow pase and sinister tone to it which tells the audience how the film would be illustrated and what theme it would have. The order of the credits starts with the production team and company name, it continues with the characters names starting with the main character, leading with the other actors and actresses. Along after that the name of the film is presented on the screen. The font used in the credits are medium size with the color white, with a misty background. Afterwards it still continues with the characters name and that is presented with the sound, design and art producer.
